We stayed in July 2023 and it was just amazing. If you are looking for a very quiet area, nice long walks along the coasts, two of the best beaches just around the corner, look no further. Really warm welcome and flexible check-in time. Comfortable bed, good internet, great shower. Parking for a intermediate car included.

The tiny hamlet of Treen in Cornwall is probably the best kept secret. A few holiday lets a pub The Logan Rock Inn fresh milk and eggs from the farm and handmade bread from Steve the baker (baked in his own kitchen). Hardly any phone signal or reliable WiFi. Great.

Treen is our regular holiday destination, we love the place and visit about 4 times a year. We camp in the summer but use the beautiful Gwennel Barn for our winter stay. The owners, Nico and Peter rescued the barn from near ruin, it wasn’t that long ago it had no roof and the walls were about to cave in. But under their care it has undergone a marvellous restoration and has now become a luxury holiday let. It is so lovely to return to such a cozy barn after a day of exploring the amazing beaches and glorious coastal paths, with its luxurious underfloor heating. We haven’t stayed in the summer but imagine it’s just as lovely to return home at the end of a hot day and fling the doors open. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this beautiful spotless accomodation, it has been carefully equipped with everything you will need for your stay. So much to do in the area: the beaches (Pednvounder, Porthchapel and Portheras Cove) must be amongst the most beautiful in the world, white sand and turquoise water - the amazing open air Minack Theatre - the surfing paradise of Sennen Cove - St Michaels Mount and nearby Marazion - and would highly recommend a trip out on the Marine Discovery catamaran from Penzance, very likely to see dolphins! There is loads to do! Get yourself to the area, and if you want luxury for a very reasonable price, this is the place to stay!

We recently stayed at Gwennel Barn for our regular winter visit to this beautiful place (we try and get there in Spring too!). We got married in Cornwall a few years ago and stayed here afterwards so it's a very special place for us and we never want to leave! The Cottage is absolutely perfect with everything you could possibly need, modern fully equipped kitchen, brilliant shower, comfy bed and the underfloor heating makes it very cosy. The location is just stunning. You can be on the coast path in minutes so our dog, Alan, loves the early morning walks to Porthcurno beach with the dramatic Minack theatre. Gwennel is a real treat to come back to after a refreshing day of walking in the amazing landscapes around Treen. It's so quiet at night too. The Logan Rock inn (literally 2 minutes walk) does really tasty food and always has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Nico is always very helpful and friendly and we can never wait to start planning our next trip down immediately on our return. Thank you Nico for another perfect holiday!

We have enjoyed holidays in both of these lovely barns. They are beautifully furnished, very well equipped and exceptionally clean.Nico & Peter are excellent hosts and are about to help - or just for a chat! The south west coast path is practically on the doorstop and so is the excellent pub!We feel very fortunate to have discovered this lovely, unspoilt location and look forward to returning for many years to come!

Great for walkers, dog owners, pub lovers and romanticsBeautifully appointed little cottage with all you need plus really lovely property owners Nico and Peter. The coastal path is minutes away across fields or down a rural track and from there walking is easy to Porthcurno and beyond. If you don’t want a whole day of walking then other wonderful spots are just a few miles down the road by car. The perfect ending to each day is provided by The Logan Rock Inn which is a stumble from the doorstep. Landlady Anita is friendly and welcoming, the bar staff are great and the food is really good and it all gets washed down with a nice selection of St Austell beers. We will definitely be coming back.
