Gwennel Barn

A detached barn conversion, completed in 2013. The barn has been fully refurbished to a high standard, offering a single storey accommodation comprising: one double bedroom, bathroom (with bath & shower), open plan kitchen/dining room, with dishwasher; microwave; washing machine; TV with DVD, fridge and freezer; Wif-fi.

The living area has a farmhouse table that seats four and a very comfortable and stylish sofa to relax.

Locally sourced Delabole slate is combined with underfloor heating throughout.

The proximity of the sea has inspired a nautical theme for this high standard accommodation: original ships deck and navigation lights and original ships doors, porthole mirror and much more.

There is an enclosed space outside, protected by traditional Cornish hedge to seat facing the south.

Private parking for one car.

Gwennel Barn was one of the outbuildings of the former farm. Originally it was used for storage agricultural tools and as a horse stable/ kennel. The name Gwennel means Swallow in Cornish and the birds nested here and still live in the surrounding area.  The work was carried out by local craftsmen that ensured the keeping with the original features adding modern comfort.

Fantastic!  Very high standard cottage. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much, had a fantastic holiday.
